Hi! I'm Aimee and I’m a wedding & family photographer.
Big weddings; small weddings; traditional ceremonies; civil ceremonies; alternative weddings; DIY weddings; elopements; parties; unions; engagements— I love them all and I’m completely infatuated with documenting the celebration of two people and their families coming together. I can’t imagine I’ll ever tire of it!
While primarily I photograph weddings, I just love to photograph people anywhere at any time; whether it’s on their wedding day, at a special occasion or during a portrait session. I can’t get enough of new faces! Since giving birth to my son in Spring 2012, I’ve fallen in love with documenting families, children and newborns too and I understand the importance of capturing those special moments, before the wrinkle-nosed little baby you once knew has suddenly grown into a tantruming-toddler or teenager!
I try to keep formal ‘posed’ photographs to a minimum and instead use a creative reportage approach. I love working with creative people in a fun and busy environment, where I can blend in to the background and unobtrusively capture spontaneous fun moments, emotions and atmospheres. I’m all about the detail and believe every moment is important, whether it’s big or small, which is why on your wedding day, you’ll find me taking photos of your shoes, sneaky smiles and your wedding decor as well as traditional moments like the cutting of the cake and the first dance! I like to make the colours burst with vibrancy and saturation, to produce photos that you can cherish and look back on in years to come, to provoke the feelings and emotions that you felt on Your Big Day!
Let's get personal!
I live with my husband and my son in a small village near London, where I juggle my job and motherhood! My son is the apple of my eye, my muse and my inspiration. I’m creative, geeky and a homebody, with a penchant for a good cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake.
I love: glitter, saturated colour, fancy dress, my little family, summer, sunshine, Disneyworld, big cups of tea, baking, perfectly winged eyeliner, spag bol, blogging, graphic design and typography, being organised, steak, fairgrounds, fireworks and handbags.
I can be a bit of an oversharer at times, which means you can find out lots more about me and my life on my blog, including lots of everyday photos that don’t make it to my portfolio.
